Cape Verdean Scholarship Fund

The Rhode Island Cape Verdean Heritage (RICVH) Scholarship Fund is a longstanding initiative supporting college-bound Cape Verdean students in Rhode Island. Established in 1964, the fund addresses educational needs within the Cape Verdean community and helps preserve its cultural legacy. Through partnerships with organizations like the MUSE Foundation of Rhode Island and fundraising campaigns such as CV Sunset, the scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also celebrates Cape Verdean Independence and heritage. Donations to the fund empower students to overcome financial barriers, promote academic achievement, and strengthen community pride. By contributing, supporters help maintain a tradition of educational excellence and cultural preservation, ensuring that Cape Verdean youth have greater opportunities and that the community’s rich history continues to thrive in Rhode Island.
